Of all the material I've read and studied about financial literacy and personal development, I have been most impressed with two resources. First, the Holy Bible, then Wallace D Wattles. The one thing that most of the sources above appear to have in common (including your top Motivational Speakers and Great Men of Faith) is that many of their beliefs and ideas seem to follow the teachings of Wallace D Wattles, who lived over 100 years ago. And almost all of Wallace D Wattles teachings flow from the Holy Bible.

Conventional wisdom may not be so conventional. In these trying times, most of us are very concerned about how we save for retirement and build wealth for our families. There are at least 3 criteria that we must consider when determining where to put our money:
1. “Our money must be liquid (we can get to it immediately, when we need it).
2. Our money must be safe; guaranteed growth (we never lose money, and we always make money).
3. Our money must give us a decent rate of return” (although as you will realize after understanding the Bank on Yourself concept, Rate of Return is Not a Concern.
